Hastings Waterfront & Downtown Improvment Plan
In 2008, the Municipality of Trent Hills received funding support from the Northumberland Community Futures Development Corporation's Eastern Ontario Development Fund and the Hastings Hydro Board to create this plan. The Municipality engaged landscape architectural firm Basterfield & Associates to guide the process and create the plan.
The purpose of the plan:
- Identify key areas of the village for improvement
- Utilize the streetscape design theme from the new Hastings Village Marina
- Engage the community in creating the vision and with the implementation
- Encourage appropriate investment and development
Through public consultation the draft plan was developed and presented for comments and feedback on January 29, 2009. The plan will be presented at the April 7, 2009 Council meeting for approval. A full copy of the Concept Plan is available in a pdf format:
